
Tragedy struck late Tuesday night in the suburb of Bolingbrook, Illinois, where a 17-year-old boy was fatally shot inside a residence. WGN-TV reports that Bolingbrook Police responded to a call about a person shot on the 100 block of Grove Court around 11 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Daniel Starks, who lived at the location, with a gunshot wound.
Despite being rushed to the local hospital for urgent care, Stark was pronounced dead approximately 45 minutes after the shooting, and as of now, police have not taken anyone into custody related to the incident, in the aftermath detectives are actively seeking video or auditory evidence that might shed light on the events leading to Daniel's untimely demise. CBS News Chicago highlights that the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, including whether there was anyone else present in the home at the time Stark was shot.
The Bolingbrook Police Department has initiated a homicide investigation into what led to the death of Starks. Local authorities are making a public appeal for anyone who has video footage of the incident or any information that could assist with the case to get in touch.
