Fremont Police responded to a call from AMTRAK Police at approximately 2:30 PM yesterday, revealing that an animal, decapitated and eviscerated, was left abandoned on a park bench at Centerville Train Station.

The initial inspection could not determine the species of the animal, where it came from, or what its untimely demise might signify. Next to the bench, officers found several bags, with a second decapitated and eviscerated animal and what appeared to be entrails contained within them, according to the Fremont Police Department's social media post.

This gruesome finding has triggered an active investigation where a forensic veterinarian is being consulted to assist in identifying the species of the animals; thus far, no threats have been tied to this grisly scene.

The Fremont Police are actively seeking any information about this incident and encourage the public to reach out.
