A convicted felon, Jacque Adams, 32, was arrested yesterday in connection with a shooting that occurred on January 25 at a Linbar Drive gas station, leaving one man injured. Adams is being held on a $220,000 bond after detectives from the Non-Lethal Shooting Unit identified him as a participant in the shooting, according to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department release.
The incident took place in the parking lot of the Mapco gas station, where a 71-year-old man was shot in the face while sitting in his vehicle. Detectives confirmed he was an innocent bystander and not the intended target. Adams has been charged with multiple offenses, including aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, being a felon in possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon with intent to distribute.
At least three suspects were involved in the shooting, and law enforcement is continuing efforts to identify and apprehend the remaining suspects. The injured man is recovering from his injuries, and the investigation is ongoing.
