The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office (ECSO) is seeking experienced law enforcement officers to join its K9 program. The agency is looking for Indiana Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) Certified officers for lateral hire, offering a starting salary of $86,500. Officers with additional specialties or years of service may receive raises based on experience.
According to the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office's Facebook post, the ECSO is working toward its goal of having a K9 officer on each of its teams and is currently recruiting for two positions.
