
An unfortunate collision between a motorcycle and a bicyclist on Indy’s near southeast side has resulted in one fatality. The Indianapolis Metro Police Department Southeast District responded to the incident near the intersection of East Troy Avenue and Tindall Street around 5 p.m. yesterday, FOX59 reported. Upon arrival, officers found the two individuals involved in the crash and promptly facilitated their transport to a local hospital.
Details regarding the crash were sparse, but the authorities arrived to a scene where the motion of two wheels – one powered by muscle, the other by motor – had converged into tragedy. Both the motorcyclist and the bicyclist were swiftly taken to receive medical attention, per IMPD's statement. The motorcyclist was reported to be "awake and breathing" at the scene, according to information provided by WTHR.
In an unfortunate twist of fate following the incident, the bicyclist succumbed to their injuries. The identity of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin. WRTV confirmed the passing of the bicyclist, noting that they were pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
