After 22 years of service, Corporal Kyle Schaefer was honored by the Hendricks County Sheriff's Office for his dedicated career, which began in 2003.
According to the Hendricks County Sheriff's Office's Facebook post, Schaefer started as a Reserve Deputy before becoming a full-time officer in 2005. He played a key role as a K9 handler and leader of the K9 program, helping set high standards for canine units in the county.
The Hendricks County community has recognized Schaefer's commitment to both his fellow officers and the public. The Sheriff's Office thanked him for his service and wished him well as he retired, alongside his K9 partner, Deaks, who will also retire and remain with Schaefer.
