During normal business hours, you can come with your truck or trailer and haul away up to 45 cubic yards of mulch per visit — that's right, no appointment necessary. Just remember to quickly double-check the categories of mulch included in the giveaway, as the city points out that "colored mulch, wood mulch, and organic compost are not included," as per the City of Raleigh.
Located at 900 N. New Hope Road, the Yard Waste Center maintains convenient hours for pick-ups: they're open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Remember though, once you’ve got your mulch, it's on you to successfully transport it from the facility to your yard.
