"Over the past four months, the General Assembly, the Senate Democratic Caucus, and I have been hard at work, focused on to pass legislation and a budget that represents the needs of Hoosiers," Niezgodski told Indiana Senate Democrats. The legislator took pride in a diverse set of accomplishments, including securing funds for the Midwest Continental Divide Commission and the South Shore Line completion, bringing forth a 13th check for public retirees, expanding psilocybin research, as well as increasing measures for transparency and accountability among state officials.
Senator Niezgodski's district—District 10—stood to benefit directly from the budget's provision, particularly with the establishment of an Innovation Development District in South Bend.
