In what might be considered a run-of-the-mill traffic enforcement action, a routine stop by a deputy from Constable Mark Herman's Office turned significant when two suspects were apprehended on Monday evening. The incident took place in the 19800 block of Foxwood Forest Boulevard, leading to the discovery of outstanding felony warrants for both the driver and passenger of the stopped vehicle, according to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 Facebook page.
The driver, identified as Steven Pitts, was found to have not one, but two open Felony Warrants—one for assaulting a police officer and another for his third offense of "Driving While Intoxicated." The passenger was no less troubling to the authorities; John Card, with his own history as a convicted felon, was caught in possession of a firearm, which, along with multiple open warrants out of Galveston County, only compounded his legal troubles, as reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
Both Pitts and Card were promptly arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. The charges stacked against them were serious: Pitts for the open warrants, and Card for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Despite the gravity of these allegations, bond information and court details were not immediately available, leaving a momentary gap in the unfolding narrative of their legal proceedings, as obtained by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
Harris County Constable Precinct 4 highlighted the arrest, stating, "Both suspects were arrested, and booked into the Harris County Jail." Details on bonds and court appearances, for both men, have yet to be set at the time of reporting. Card's charges are being processed out of the 263rd District Court, while Pitts awaits the setting of his bond and court information for the serious charges he faces.
