This Wednesday, Utah State University is poised to send off 96 student-athletes who have victoriously completed their academic journeys during the 2024-25 school year. According to USU Today, this cohort includes 22 graduates with graduate degrees and 74 with undergraduate degrees.

The group spans various sports, with 30 football players making up the bulk, followed by track & field/cross country, soccer, and others. Excelling not only on the playing fields but also in academics, the graduating class boasts an impressive collection of 105 academic all-conference honors and 29 individual and team conference championships. Furthermore, during the fall, USU had 91 student-athletes earn academic All-Mountain West honors.

Among the graduates, Falepule Alo with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and Bryson Barnes with Integrated Studies are set to bring their education into their respective fields and beyond. The student-athletes' collective accomplishments are a testament to USU's enduring emphasis on balancing sport with scholarly excellence, a balancing act that seems to result in a high degree of success, reflected in USU's NCAA Graduation Success Rate of 91 percent, topping many in the Mountain West.

Adding to their accolades on the field and in the classroom, these students also displayed dedication to their diverse fields of study, from Kinesiology and Business Administration to Journalism and Computer Science. For instance, Spencer Nelson of the men's track & field team is graduating with a master's in Business Administration, while football player Colby Bowman has completed his MBA. Not to be outdone, women's soccer player Emma Becerra is walking away with a degree in Journalism.
