Firefighters in Carmel were urgently summoned yesterday to extinguish a significant blaze at a structure in the 500 block of S. Rangeline Road, close to W. Walnut Street. The inferno, which was reported by FOX59, drew immediate attention as the Carmel Fire Department descended upon the scene to battle the flames that had taken hold of the building.
While the structure was not housing any residents at the time, serving instead as a storage space, the risk remained acute. The Carmel Police Department has shared that four juveniles might have been involved in the incident's inception, as stated in a release to Current. A firefighter sustained a minor hand injury.
The investigation seeks to uncover whether the involvement of the juveniles is coincidental or causal, as reported by WRTV. Damage to the property is still being assessed, with photos showing the extent of the fire.
