
Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a serious incident last week, where a male victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds. The shooting occurred last Thursday, in the 4300 block of E. State Blvd, and left the victim in a life-threatening condition, necessitating immediate transport to a nearby trauma hospital. Following an investigation spearheaded by FWPD homicide detectives, a suspect was identified: 44-year-old Andre Lee.
According to the Fort Wayne Police Department's report, Lee was apprehended by the Homicide Task Force on Monday in the 3300 block of W. Coliseum Blvd. The arrest was made without incident. As a result of the investigation, Lee faces preliminary charges of attempted murder and aggravated battery and remains in custody at the Allen County Jail.
The FWPD's announcement outlines the preliminary charges filed against Lee and confirms that the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities have not released additional details at this time, stating that further updates will be provided as the case develops.
