State Representative Ethan Lawson recently welcomed students from Greenfield and New Palestine to the Indiana Statehouse as part of the 2025 legislative session's page program. The program offers students a chance to observe state government in action and assist lawmakers and staff.

According to Indiana House Republicans, participants served as legislative aides, toured the Statehouse, and observed House proceedings. Rep. Lawson stated that the program, “Local students get an up-close look at a legislative session, network with lawmakers and learn more about our state's history.”

Students included Andrew Carver and Samuel Carver, both home-schooled from Greenfield; Chase Scott from Greenfield Central High School; and Harper Watkins, Juliana Jackson, Ryah Laird, Sophia Jackson, and Tenley Yoder from New Palestine Junior High.

The page program is open to Indiana students ages 13 to 18. Those interested in participating during the 2026 legislative session are encouraged to contact Rep. Lawson’s office for details.
