Last night, Lawrence County Fire & Rescue in Tennessee reported a critical situation as they responded to a vehicle stranded underwater amid rising floodwaters. According to their social media update, the incident occurred in the South East Fire District, with initial reports coming in around 10:01 PM.
Rescue units had a challenging time reaching the affected vehicle as floodwaters compromised access on Rabbit Trail Road and other secondary roadways. Despite these obstacles, they successfully extracted all occupants safely from the vehicle. "The occupants are safely out of the vehicle," the Lawrence County Fire & Rescue affirmed in a brief statement.
A flood advisory, which was simultaneously conveyed by the National Weather Service, underscored the serious risk to the region. Residents were urged to exercise caution.
