Good news for Lawrence residents looking to connect with their neighbors: Watson Farms and Franklin Trails have joined the Lawrence Neighborhood Hub, aiming to strengthen community ties. The initiative, as part of a city-wide effort to foster engagement, has nearly reached a full house, with associations now hailing from 7 of the city's 8 official neighborhoods.
This recent inclusion, detailed on the City of Lawrence's official website, leaves just one neighborhood, The Pike, yet to participate. The Neighborhood Hub is a directory not just of homeowners associations, but also neighborhood associations (NAs) and community groups. Its goal, engagement and inclusivity for Lawrence’s residents. It seems to be doing just that, as it inches closer to encompassing the whole city.
Boosting neighborhood pride and ensuring every local voice has the chance to be heard are among the top priorities of the Lawrence Neighborhood Hub. Groups that are not yet listed but are interested in joining can do so by registering on the city's website.
