In a concerted effort to shield the youngest among us from predators lurking in the shadows of the internet, the Fishers Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) has, in partnership with numerous law enforcement agencies, arrested eight individuals in Madison County on charges related to child sex crimes. This string of arrests unfolded over a diligent three-day operation designed to bring those accused of preying on children to justice.
The Fishers Police Department issued a social media update detailing this recent crackdown, announcing that the collaborative effort which included the Madison County Sheriff's Office, the Anderson Police Department, and the Madison County Prosecutor’s Office, proved successful in their persistent mission to aggressively pursue and arrest suspects linked to child sexual exploitation. Among the arrested were Kenneth Menifee, Jr., David Medina Jr., Jaime Gomez, Niloy Talukder, Daniel Alonge, Daniel Ragozzino, Dean Cagle, and Matthew Benge, each facing a variety of charges from child solicitation to attempted promotion of sexual trafficking of a younger child. Assisting in the operation were several agencies including Fishers PD, Carmel PD, Westfield PD, Noblesville PD, Hamilton County Sheriff, Greenfield PD, Anderson PD, Madison Co. Sheriff, Johnson Co Sheriff, and the Department of Homeland Security Investigations. This collective force represents a growing commitment to safeguard Internet spaces frequented by our youth, aiming to deter and apprehend individuals who seek to perpetrate crimes against children.
As the news of these arrests circulates, the Fishers Police Department reminds the public that "all criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law." The department has also directed any further inquiries regarding these cases to be referred to the Madison County Prosecutor's Office as the judicial process moves forward.
