A late-night craving for Popeyes ended in a far less savory outcome for one Port St. Lucie man. According to WPBF, Love Floreal was discovered by police asleep at the wheel of his car, stationed in a Popeyes drive-thru lane, despite the establishment being closed. The vehicle was still in drive and featured open alcohol containers and visible drugs.
The Port St. Lucie Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle which was apparently trying to enter the Popeyes drive-thru but had not succeeded to make the transition to park. Floreal, still donning his club wristband from earlier festivities, was found by officers in a compromised state, igniting a turn of events that led to his arrest. He faces charges of driving under the influence and marijuana possession, as noted on the Port St. Lucie Police Department's Facebook page.
Following the incident, police took Floreal into custody and transported him to the St. Lucie County Jail. In a recent social media post, the Port St. Lucie Police Department shared the arrest with a touch of irony, noting that after what may have been "no 'love in this club'". The department also reaffirmed its commitment to strictly enforcing traffic laws to ensure community safety.
