In an early morning operation last Saturday, Richmond Police Department reported the arrest of Jasmin Cash following a brief foot chase. Cash, who was wanted on a Failure to Appear warrant, failed to show for court in relation to charges from an incident occurring April 11. The post by the Richmond Police Department on social media describes the subsequent arrest as taking place without further incident.
The incident in question, having occurred in the 200 block of South 7th Street, saw Cash charged with an array of grave offenses, including Level 3 Felonies for armed kidnapping and criminal confinement. Desperate to evade the reach of justice, Cash was also charged with Level 5 Felonies for kidnapping that resulted in bodily injury, and battery by means of a deadly weapon. Charged with various felonies, Richmond Police underscores the fact that these arrests and accusations do not translate to guilt—an individual's innocence is maintained until proven otherwise in the courts.
