
The Richmond Police Department’s Strategic and Focused Enforcement (S.A.F.E.) Crime Suppression Unit arrested Tayonne Tevis, 29, of Richmond, during a traffic stop on South 13th Street and South L Street on the evening of Monday.
According to the Richmond Police Department's Facebook post, Tevis was found with over 235 grams of suspected heroin and cocaine. He has been charged with possession and Dealing in a Controlled Substance, classified as a Level 6 Felony.
The S.A.F.E. Unit focuses on high-crime areas and narcotics-related activity in Richmond. The Richmond Police Department stated that all individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
