
A joint effort between the Grant and Wabash County Sheriff's Offices led to the discovery of a missing Wabash County man. The individual, last seen on April 25, was found deceased on Monday by a search team, including a bloodhound, after their assistance was requested on April 28, according to a social media post by the Grant County Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Office provided additional assets to the search, employing the expertise of Captain Matt Sneed and Reserve Deputy Jennifer Ressett, alongside her certified bloodhound K-9 partner Ellie Mae. On arriving at the scene, the K-9 team set out to work utilizing a scent article obtained from the missing man's family, subsequently discovering the body in an unspecified agricultural area, not long after initiating the search.
In accordance with investigative protocols, the Wabash County Sheriff's Office has withheld further details about the incident as the investigation continues. Authorities have directed all inquiries to the Sheriff's Office, which has declined to release additional information at this time.
