A shootout on the Division Street Bridge in Nashville Monday morning led to a suspect being critically injured and an officer sustaining a minor injury, according to multiple reports. WSMV detailed that the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) confirmed the shootout occurred around 11:00 a.m., wherein officers engaged with a man wanted on attempted murder charges.
The exchange of gunfire resulted in the suspect being shot and subsequently transported to a local hospital with critical injuries, while an officer was grazed on the leg but did not suffer serious harm.
