Wawa will open its first store in Indiana in Daleville on May 15. The grand opening will start at 8 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. The store is located at 16100 W. Commerce Road, according to FOX59.
Wawa is expanding in Indiana, with two new locations opening and plans for up to 10 more stores by the end of the year. The company plans to have as many as 60 stores in Indiana in the coming years. Wawa is known for its hoagies, coffee, and other food items. "We look forward to bringing our unique brand of fresh food, beverages and convenience to the state and to furthering our commitment to providing the community with not only a new level of convenience but a strong, committed community partner," said Wawa President Brian Schaller, as reported by WTHR.
Wawa will open a store at 3835 E. 96th St. in Indianapolis. The company plans to add 8-12 new stores annually in Indiana, with the expansion contributing to the regional economy, as mentioned by WISH TV.
