Court documents revealed that between 2011 and 2015, Vasquez-Mongia was deported and barred from entering the United States for durations ranging from five to twenty years, after multiple arrests for being in the country unlawfully however he disregarded these bans and reentered numerous times. After his seventh offense, he served six months in federal prison for the crime of transporting illegal aliens and, once released, was deported once more with a stringent reentry prohibition.
