Early this morning, Elkhart police responded to a fatal shooting at the Daylite Inn, according to an official social media statement from Elkhart Police Department. The incident, which took place at 2820 Cassopolis Street, resulted in the death of an unidentified adult male who sustained apparent gunshot wounds.
Dispatched shortly after the shooting was reported around 12:55 a.m., Elkhart Police Department officers and first responders arrived at the scene to find the victim already deceased within a room of the inn.
