The University of Utah women's soccer team is gearing up for what promises to be a competitive season as they announce their 2025 schedule. The Utes, under the leadership of coach Hideki Nakada, are preparing for their second year in the Big 12 with a mix of in-conference and non-conference matches, 11 of which will be on their home turf at Ute Field.
Kicking off the new season, Utah will hit the road for two games, their first against Gonzaga on August 14, as detailed by UtahUtes.com. They won't have to travel far for their next encounter, as they face Utah Valley in Orem just four days later on August 18. After this, Utes enthusiasts can catch the team's home opener against the Westminster Griffins on August 21.
Amidst their 20-match lineup, the Utes face an interesting roster of opponents, including North Carolina State and a three-match home series featuring LSU, Utah Tech, and Oregon State from September 7 through September 14. The first Big 12 conference game marks a significant occasion, pitting the Utes against the TCU Horned Frogs in Fort Worth, a rematch of sorts, but as conference rivals, this will be only their second face-off.
The team's schedule takes them across the country with various stops, including Orlando on October 2 against the UCF Knights, followed by a match with the Houston Cougars on October 5. In the late weeks of October, Utah will return to its home field for key matches against contenders like Arizona State and Kansas, as well as perennial rivals BYU, to wrap up the regular season on October 30. Their seasonal journey concludes with the Big 12 Soccer Championship starting November 3, with quarterfinals and semifinals hosted by TCU and the title match at Baylor University on November 8.
