A woman is currently in critical condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital after being found unconscious and subsequently retrieved from the Miami River. The victim was discovered this morning when Miami Police and Fire Rescue teams were dispatched following a possible drowning call around 10:50 a.m. near 114 SW N. River Drive, as WSVN reported.
First responders carried out emergency lifesaving measures upon reaching the woman, who, after being rescued from the river, was taken to the trauma center, the precise chronology of the official response was captured in a video showing the woman being pulled from the water and onto a police boat, this according to Local10. As the investigation unfolds police have detained an individual, stemming from an earlier altercation where the woman and a man were argued before she was seen walking away and soon after the man pushed her into the water, as described by authorities in statements obtained by WSVN.
