
An overnight shooting in Indianapolis has resulted in the death of a woman and left a man injured. According to the WISH-TV report, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to an incident in the 2400 block of North Kenyon Street just before 11:30 p.m. yesterday. The woman was discovered in the street with a gunshot wound and taken to the hospital in critical condition, where she died this morning.
Found at the scene, the man was located, who also sustained gunshot wounds, and was transported to a local hospital where he remains in stable condition as stated by CBS4 Indy. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have yet to release information pertaining to a motive or potential suspects in the case.
IMPD has appealed to the public for assistance, and Detective Gregory Shue is the appointed point of contact for any leads. In a statement obtained by WTHR, the department asks anyone with information about the shooting to contact Det. Shue at the IMPD Homicide Office by phone or via email.
