The Hamilton County Metro ICAC Task Force has expanded its search for potential victims in a child sex crimes investigation. Alec Hegge, from Pendleton, Indiana, was arrested on Thursday, under suspicion of molesting an infant, as reported by the Fishers Police Department.
Charges have been filed against Hegge for two counts of Child Molesting, a level one felony. The investigation is ongoing, with concerns that his role as a Registered Behavior Therapist at Changing Lives Behavior Analysis, Inc. may have exposed him to more victims. After his arrest, Hegge told investigators, "he never hurt a patient because there were too many safeguards in place." He is no longer working at the company, which is cooperating with authorities in the investigation, as stated by the Fishers Police Department.
According to the Fishers Police Department on their Facebook page, detectives are asking the public to review any past interactions with Hegge, particularly families who may have worked with him. The Hamilton County Metro ICAC Task Force, which includes agencies like the Fishers Police Department, Carmel Police Department, and the Department of Homeland Security, is investigating possible child exploitation in Hamilton, Hancock, Madison, and Tipton counties. “If your family worked with Hegge and you believe you or your child is a victim, please call Det. Chris Borgmann at 317-595-3467,” the task force said.
