
On Monday afternoon, four individuals reportedly accosted a construction worker at gunpoint in the 100 block of Arbor Drive, snatching tools in a brazen daylight heist. The Piedmont Police Department had officers on the scene shortly after the 2:30 pm incident, according to a social media announcement, and began an investigation posthaste.
Four robbery suspects are now behind bars following a swift and coordinated police operation in Piedmont. Officers Faucher and Singh led the effort, locating the suspect vehicle and apprehending all four individuals within hours of the crime. A loaded firearm and other key evidence were recovered, helping establish the group’s connection to the incident.
One of the suspects had an outstanding warrant for felony reckless evading. The charges filed include robbery (PC 211), possession of a firearm by a prohibited person (PC 29800(a)(1)), possession of a stolen vehicle (PC 496D(a)), unlawful taking of a vehicle (CVC 10851), and probation violation (PC 1203.2). All four were booked into Santa Rita Jail.
The Piedmont Police Department praised the "exceptional investigative efforts" of its officers, noting that the rapid resolution underscored its commitment to community safety. The victim provided a positive ID, further strengthening the case.
