A woman was found dead with apparent trauma injuries on Friday night on Indianapolis' east side, triggering a police investigation that led to an arrest for murder. According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD), officers responded to a call of a disturbance involving a weapon at around 8 p.m. in the 1500 block of North Downey Avenue, near East 16th Street and Emerson Avenue, WTHR reported.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered an adult female victim who was subsequently pronounced dead.
