
Tragedy struck near Eagle Creek Park yesterday evening as two individuals were found with critical gunshot injuries. FOX59 reported that the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) responded to a call on the 7800 block of West 56th Street before the incident's location was pinpointed to the 7100 block of Lafayette Road.
In a contiguous effort, WISHTV disclosed that at around 7:30 p.m., two men were discovered with wounds consistent with a shooting, along Eagle Creek. After locating the victims, both were immediately transported to a nearby hospital and given urgent care for life-threatening injuries. The IMPD harnessed the aid of K-9s and drones following the incident, leading to the detention of at least three persons of interest at the scene.
Adding to the report, WTHR provided further details, stating that the IMPD spokesperson confirmed the shooting occurred near Traders Lane. The victims, both adult males, were found near the creek's bank and appeared to have sustained gunshot wounds.
