FOX59 reports that the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) responded to the scene in the 5500 block of Georgetown Road shortly before 3 a.m. today. The victim was found critically injured and later succumbed to her wounds at a local hospital.
According to WISHTV, the authorities have taken a person of interest into custody for questioning, though IMPD did not confirm whether this individual is directly implicated as a suspect. The incident occurred near the intersection of 56th Street and Georgetown Road, a busy area adjacent to Saddlebrook Golf Club.
