In a collaborative push to curb hazardous driving habits that plague our streets, multiple law enforcement agencies, including Yavapai County Sheriff's Office, Prescott Valley PD, Prescott PD, and Arizona Department of Public Safety, came together for a traffic enforcement operation on July 16th; the squad targeted regions known for traffic troubles such as 89A, Fain Road, Coyote Springs Road, Viewpoint Drive, and Antelope Meadows Drive, the event was funded by grants from the Arizona Governor's Office of Highway Safety which routinely supports such initiatives.
The outcome was noteworthy with officers stopping 69 vehicles, resulting in 44 speed-related citations, and 7 other traffic violations, according to a statement from the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, the detail also led to the arrest of five individuals on criminal charges which included two for criminal speed, one for reckless driving, one for aggressive driving, and another for driving on a suspended license.
