Anderson Firefighters Local 1262 featured Corbin Maddox in their “Behind the Badge” series. Maddox joined the City of Anderson Fire on March 27, 2023, and has worked on Medic 1, Rescue 1, Engine 7, and Medic 2. He is from Daleville, Indiana, attended Daleville Jr/Sr High School, and played college baseball at Anderson University. While in college, he changed his career plan from physical therapy to firefighting. His father has worked for the Muncie fire department for more than 30 years, and his brother has served for seven years. Maddox’s wife supported his decision to join the fire service, as reported by the Anderson Fire Fighters Local 1262.
Off the job, Maddox spends time with his wife, their 2-year-old son, and their newborn daughter, Cambri Lucille Maddox, born on August 6, 2024. He enjoys watching sports, hunting, and golfing. Anderson Fire Fighters Local 1262 shared that "Corbin says his favorite part of the job is the camaraderie on and off shift." In April, he became a paramedic and plans to become a captain in the future.

The series aims to show the “Family, tradition, and dedication” that members bring to the fire service and the role firefighters play in the community.
