Lawrence Utilities, as part of routine maintenance, will be inspecting and cleaning the sewer main. Between the hours of 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM, expect the inner lanes, both north and southbound, to be out of commission from Records St. to 45th St., as per the City of Lawrence announcement.
While the interior lanes are closed, the outer lanes will fortunately remain open to traffic. But it's not just Franklin Rd. that will see the hustle of maintenance crews. Later in the morning, their focus will shift to Post Rd. There, the outside southbound lane will be closed beginning from Brigadier Dr. and ending just shy of Suburban Propane. The city advises caution, a tapping of the brakes near these work zones, and a nod to patience, advising us to factor in the potential for minor delays.
