On July 29, 2025, Syed Ayan Tirmizi was arrested for 10 counts of Child Exploitation, a Level 4 Felony, and 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography, a Level 5 Felony.

Detectives from the task force executed search warrants on Tirmizi's social media accounts, uncovering evidence of illegal activity. Tirmizi, a McCordsville resident, had been previously arrested for Possession of Child Pornography by the McCordsville Police Department in December 2023, and was awaiting trial for those charges at the time of this recent arrest. Tirmizi allegedly also engaged in soliciting child sex abuse material through various online chat rooms.
Headquartered at the Fishers Police Department, the task force unites detectives from multiple agencies, including the Greenfield, Carmel, Westfield, and Noblesville Police Departments, to tackle internet-based crimes against children. This collaborative effort is dedicated to combating child exploitation across several counties in Indiana.
Tirmizi is currently being held at the Hancock County Jail. He faces 10 counts of Child Exploitation, a Level 4 felony, and 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography, a Level 5 felony. As the Fishers Police Department emphasizes, "A charge is merely an accusation, and the arrested person(s) is presumed innocent until proven guilty."
