The first motor has been successfully replaced, and there will be no more interruptions for now. However, future closures may happen for the installation of the second motor, though the timing is unknown.
According to the DOTD announcement, the bridge had a brief closure earlier today for contractors to set the stage for the repair job. The bridge then returned to action until its planned downtime, except now, the downtime is off the calendar, and cars are free to cross as they please.
