Boone County schools will receive $274,000 through Indiana’s Secured School Safety Grant Program. The grants are part of a statewide $27 million initiative supporting safety improvements in 494 schools.
According to the Indiana House Republicans, Grant recipients in Boone County include Lebanon Community School Corp. and Zionsville Community Schools, each receiving $92,500. Funds can be used for school resource officers, updated equipment, technology, and active event warning systems to improve campus safety.
