Last Wednesday, the Brentwood Police Department responded to an armed robbery at a local ARCO gas station, located on the 6900 block of Brentwood Boulevard. As detailed in a social media post from the City of Brentwood Police Department, the incident involved a suspect armed with a knife. Prompted by an alert witness who described the suspects, officers were quickly dispatched to the area.
Following the tip from the witness, Brentwood officers initiated a search and soon observed individuals who appeared to match the descriptions handed down by the gas station witness. Despite the suspects' fleeting attempt at escape, the officers apprehended 24-year-old Christian Sanchez and 21-year-old Jonathan Sanchez, both from Brentwood, along with 29-year-old Ruben Carrion-Rojas of Knightsen, as reported by Hoodline.
All three suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility. In the unfolding of justice, the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office did not hesitate to file charges against the trio on Friday. Christian Sanchez faces charges of Robbery and Assault with a Deadly Weapon, while his apparent accomplice, Jonathan Sanchez, has been charged with Robbery. The third suspect, Ruben Carrion Rojas, has also received charges of Robbery for his involvement in the incident.
