Chicago Police Issue Alert for Suspected Serial Groper on Electric Scooter in Harrison Neighborhood

Residents of the Harrison neighborhood are being urged to stay vigilant following a string of disturbing incidents. In accordance with a community alert issued by the Chicago Police Department, there have been multiple reports of criminal sexual abuse in the 011th District. The suspect is said to prey on female victims, approaching them on a distinct Lime green and white electric scooter before groping them and fleeing the scene.

The police described a pattern where the assailant has also tried to intentionally cause minor accidents with individuals who are likewise riding scooters. Additionally, the offender has targeted individuals who are walking or waiting for public transportation. The Chicago Police Department's statement, which they published on their official website, gives detailed accounts of incidents occurring between September 2nd and 18th, with timings ranging from early morning to late night hours.

The alleged offender is described as a male, possibly African American or Hispanic, aged between 18 and 25, with a height ranging from 5'05" to 5'11", and weighing approximately 150 to 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark clothing, possibly a hooded sweatshirt or a blue jacket with an unknown design, and a mask that covers his face. Authorities are urging anyone who encounters this individual to dial 9-1-1 immediately and to try to remember any distinctive physical characteristics.

The Chicago Police Department also advises against pursuing the offender and suggests that witnesses remain at the scene when it is safe to do so. They should not attempt to touch any evidence that might have been left behind.
