
A tragic incident occurred this past weekend at one of the nation's most famed national parks when a vehicle plunged over the rim of the Grand Canyon. According to FOX10 Phoenix, the National Park Service (NPS) was alerted about a single occupant in a car that had gone over the rim near the South Kaibab Trailhead at around 12:40 p.m. last Sunday.
Responding to the scene were park rangers who located and recovered the body approximately 300 feet below the rim, as reported by FOX10 Phoenix. The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Steven Bradley from Federal Heights, Colorado. Details surrounding the cause of the vehicle's departure over the rim remain unknown. An investigation is ongoing, carried out by the NPS in collaboration with the Coconino County Medical Examiner's Office.
