A Fort Lauderdale man has been indicted on multiple charges related to the creation and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Ian Zachary Adams, 29, is accused of using anonymous social media profiles to upload and share CSAM involving minors between the ages of two and 16. Authorities also reported finding a screen recording of a video chat in which a 10-year-old child was allegedly coerced into sexually explicit acts at Adams’s direction.

As per the U.S. Attorney's Office release, U.S. Attorney Jason A. Reding Quiñones for the Southern District of Florida, the FBI, and local law enforcement announced the charges last week. The FBI Miami, Fort Lauderdale Police Department, and the Broward Sheriff’s Office are investigating the case. Authorities emphasized that an indictment is an allegation and that defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

The case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide Department of Justice initiative launched in May 2006 to identify and prosecute crimes against children online and to assist victims. More information about the program is available on its website.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Camille Smith is prosecuting the case. Case details can be found on the Southern District of Florida’s court website or by referencing case number 25-cr-60222 through the PACER system.
