Hendricks County schools will receive over $656,000 in funding through Indiana's Secured School Safety Grant Program. The grants are part of a statewide $27 million effort to support school safety and emergency preparedness, as per the Indiana House Republicans.
The funding can be used for a range of safety measures, including supporting school resource officers, updating equipment and technology, and implementing emergency plans. Benefiting schools include Avon Community School Corp., Bethesda Christian School, Brownsburg Community School Corp., and several others.
