Henry County legislators have been recognized for their work on legislation supporting the economy and job creation during the 2025 session. State Reps. Brad Barrett, Cory Criswell, and J.D. Prescott each received a perfect score from the Indiana Chamber’s legislative rankings. Their votes supported areas such as child care, economic development, and education under the Indiana Prosperity 2035 strategy.
As per the Indiana House Republicans release, Representative Barrett, who earned a 100 percent score, said the Chamber’s recognition highlights the progress being made and the issues that remain. His focus includes small businesses, workforce development, and community support.
Representative Criswell emphasized legislation passed this year addressing health care costs, education flexibility, and energy demands for economic growth. He said House Republicans are focused on issues affecting Hoosiers and pledged to continue advancing these policies.
Representative Prescott referenced Indiana’s recent national rankings, including first in the Midwest and sixth nationally by Chief Executive Magazine and second on Forbes’ list of best states to start a business. He said the goal is to make Indiana a place where businesses can expand and families can succeed.
