The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) is holding Join IMPD Week starting today through Sunday to give residents an inside look at law enforcement careers. According to the IMPD News Facebook page, the event features activities such as a pre-academy workout, a mock fitness test, and an interactive ride-along experience streamed live.
A Pre-Academy Readiness event tomorrow includes a full workout and obstacle course, with a special appearance by a guest from the Indianapolis Colts. On Wednesday, From Interest to Impact will present real accounts of life in the force and explain the recruitment process. On Friday at 1:30 p.m., IMPD will broadcast a live ride-along on its social media channels to show patrol life in real time.
IMPD invites community members interested in law enforcement careers to take part in the week’s events.
