The city of Indianapolis was the site of two separate shootings on Tuesday night, resulting in one man dead and three others critically injured. According to WTHR, a shooting occurred after 10 p.m. on the 3300 block of North Denny Street, where responding officers discovered an adult male with a gunshot wound. WTHR reports that the east side incident didn't stand alone that night, further details emerged as the investigation proceeded.
Expanding on the incident, FOX59 revealed that two additional men were discovered at the scene, both also suffering from gunshot wounds, and like the first man, were listed in critical condition; police are scrutinizing the events that led to the violence, piecing together testimonies from the neighborhood, scouring the vicinity for any semblance of understanding. The second shooting, which was reported shortly before the incident on North Denny Street, unfolded in the 1200 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street, said WISH-TV, highlighting the grim reality of the near-northwest side's night.
The tragic outcome at the Canal Gardens Apartments left 25-year-old Isaac Duncan dead at the scene, and details surrounding this shooting remain scarce, with authorities not having a suspect in custody. Following the sounds of gunfire, a caller had reported shots in the area, leading officers to the grim discovery of Duncan. The coroners released the identity of the deceased on Wednesday.
