Calm weather is forecast for the upcoming week, with no hazardous conditions expected for today and tonight. The forecast calls for mostly sunny days with high temperatures reaching the upper 80s. Dry conditions and low humidity levels of 25 to 35 percent could create an increased risk of wildfires, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Indianapolis.
Residents are advised to use caution, especially during the afternoons of Monday through Thursday, when the fire danger is expected to be at its highest. Spotter activation is not anticipated.
As per the National Weather Service, today’s forecast projects a high near 86 degrees with gentle east-southeast winds. Overnight temperatures will fall to around 65 degrees, with similar conditions continuing into early week. By Thursday, temperatures are expected to reach near 90 degrees.
Rain chances increase later in the week. There is a 20 percent chance of showers on Thursday night, rising to a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms by Friday. Saturday has a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
