The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has provided a detailed forecast for the coming week, with today's conditions described as sunny and reaching a high near 86. The NWS update, which came early this morning, also indicated a calm wind prevailing throughout the day. Residents can expect mostly clear skies tonight with a light southeast wind and a low around 59 degrees.
The weekend forecast suggests temperate weather, however, Saturday night could bring a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, particularly after 2 a.m. The following Sunday morning will continue with a slight chance of thundershowers before 8 a.m but will eventually give way to a sunny day with a high close to 90 degrees, calm winds will shift from southwest to south with speeds ranging between 3 to 6 mph throughout Sunday.
According to the NWS, the early part of next week will remain sunny and hot, with highs climbing further to around 92 degrees on Monday, and nighttime lows falling to a comfortable 66 degrees, the forecast includes light winds that will become calm by each evening.
The warm trend is expected to persist, Tuesday is projected to be sunny with highs hovering near 91 degrees, though the evening might experience partly cloudy skies with lows around 65 degrees, come Wednesday, temperatures are expected to remain high with forecasts predicting a near 91-degree day and minimal cloud cover by night.
