The City of Lawrence has announced several new programs and events in its September newsletter. The main update is the launch of the Crosswalk to Care 911 Program, which connects residents with nurse navigators to provide faster, tailored health care guidance.
As per the City of Lawrence website, the city will host the Running of the Wieners event tomorrow, where dachshunds will participate in a race. In addition, the Lawrence Fire Department held a push-in ceremony to dedicate its new Ladder 38 fire truck.
The Musical Swings have returned to the Fort Ben Cultural Campus, offering interactive installations for people to create music while swinging. Oktoberfest will also take place soon, featuring a variety of food vendors.
