The City of Lawrence has opened a new sand volleyball court at Lee Road Park. The court was developed by the Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department to provide an additional outdoor activity option for residents.
According to the City of Lawrence’s announcement, the project is part of an ongoing effort to expand and diversify recreational opportunities in Lawrence. The new facility is available for both casual play and organized games.
The Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department stated that amenities like this court help encourage outdoor activity and provide space for community gatherings.
